Mahabeera Ginjalu is a variety of Basil (Tulsi) Seeds and is a native to India, Sri Lanka, and North-eastern parts of Africa. This type of Basil usually grows in dry areas that are exposed to sun. It’s rich in dietary fibres, Vitamin K, Vitamin A, Iron & Antioxidants. It is used for its well-known benefits in weight management, visible biological age reduction, immunity, diabetes control etc. When soaked in water, it has the ability to puff up 30 times of its original size. These soft puffy seeds will then be richer in fibre and can sustain hunger when consumed thus. It is also very effective as a body coolant and helps relieve irritation stemming from excessive body heat.

Directions to Use:

These are some ways in which Mahabeera Ginjalu seeds are commonly used:

  1. Soak the seeds in a glass of water for a few hours and drink the concoction
  2. Soak a teaspoon of Mahabeera Ginjalu seeds in 1 glass or 200 ml of hot water for 30 minutes and then use the soft and puffed seeds in whatever preparation you may choose like: Flavoured milk, fruit salads or falooda.
  3. Soak 4 to 6 gm of Mahabeera seeds in water overnight and consume next day morning
